Resending: 🍦 13 FREE Printable Sound Sorts!

In partnership with our friends at Lexercise, we're sharing all about our experience taking their 30 hour Structure of Written English SOR professional development course!

It has modules on Phonetics & Phonology, Orthography, Morphology, Syntax & Semantics, and Language and Reading Instruction, and completely covers the “what” behind the Science of Reading, explaining in depth all the research-backed knowledge and information you need in order to help struggling readers and writers.

🍦 We also created 13 FREE printable multi-sensory Sound Sorts (plus a blank one so you can use it them with any speech sound or word list), inspired by the Phonetics & Phonology unit.

Students can use this resource to practice an essential, foundational decoding skill: identifying written words that contain a specific speech sound.

This multi-sensory activity has students identifying different sounds in words, then sorting them into fun ice cream cones! Get all 13 printables FREE!

*NOTE: We are making changes to the way our files can be downloaded, because some school districts are blocking our free downloads by mistake, and we want to make sure anyone who wants our freebies can get them! To download these FREE resources, click the link in the email above to visit the blog post. Scroll to the “Download & Print” section at the bottom of the post. Click the blue “Download” button and enter your email address. The file will be emailed directly to you and saved via instant download (be sure to check your spam folder!). Some schools block our emails, too, so a personal email address usually works best! Need help? Reply to this email and we’d be happy to assist you!
